 　　艾丽（瑞茜•威瑟斯彭 Reese Witherspoon 饰）虽然拥有羡煞旁人的美貌——金发，白肤，高挑，精通打扮，就像一个精美的芭比娃娃。美貌和活泼的性格，让艾丽成为了一个完美的女生。她的男友沃纳（马修•戴维斯Matthew Davis饰）条件也不俗，拥有富贵的出身和出众的外表。两人十分般配，却想不到沃纳根本就没把艾丽当成终身伴侣，在他眼中，艾丽只是一个花瓶，除了漂亮别无所长，于是他考上哈佛法学院之后，甩了艾丽，与旧女友重拾旧爱。艾丽不甘心，千方百计也考上了哈佛，她要用行动来证明自己并非徒有外表。哈佛的学习生活非常枯燥，而且这个金发美人还处处受到歧视。令大家大跌眼镜的是，艾丽竟然机智的干了一番事业。

Dean: Ladies and gentlemen, t pcesent the graduates of Harvard Law School Class of 2004. I am personally very honored to introduce this year's class-elected speaker. After getting off to a quite interesting start here at Harvard, she graduates today with an invitation to join one of Boston's most prestigious taw firms. I'm sure we are going to see great things from her. Ladies and gentlamen, Ellen Woods.
Ellen: On our very first day at Harltard, a very wise professor quoted Aristotle. "The law is reason free frorm passion. " Well, no offense to Aristotle, but in my three years at Harvard I have come to find that passion is a key ingredient to the studY and practice of law and of life. It is with passion, courage of conviction and strong sense of self that we take our next steps into the world remembering that first impressions are not always correct; you must always have faith in people and most importantly you must always have faith in yourself. Congratulations, Class of 2004. We did it !

院长：女士们，先生们！现在，我隆重地向大家介绍2004哈佛法学院的毕业生。我非常荣幸地介绍本年度由学生选出的致辞代表，她在哈佛的开始非常有趣。毕业后她将获邀加入波士顿一家最有声望的律师行。我相信她会干得非常出色。女士们，先生们，请欢迎艾伦·伍兹小姐上台！
艾伦：我们第一天到哈佛的时候，一位贤明的教授引用了亚里士多德的名言：¨法律是排除激情的理性。¨亚里士多德，恕我冒犯，但是我在哈佛三年的求学生涯中却发现：激情是学习和实践法律不可或缺的要素，同时也是生命中不可或缺的要素。要有激情，敢于坚持按照自己的信念做事，要有强烈的自我意识，这样我们才能步人社会。提醒大家，第一印象并不总是正确的。始终保持对他人的信心，最重要的是，对自己要有信心。祝贺2004年的毕业生们，我们毕业了！
