Today's English phrase is Beat the clock.

These phrases used to explain that we'll finish something before a certain time or finish the task quickly.Other similar phrases include: Race against time,Runningout of time.  When using the phrase like this:

I finished the exam in one hour. So I beat the clock!

We say would  satisfaction because we did a better job than we thought we would.
