Over the top (过分了，夸大了~)

Today’s English phrase is O-T-T or over the top.

For example, that color is over the top.

Over the top is used to express that something is excessive（极多的，过分的） or is more than required（超出需求）. 

Other examples include:

1.His actions were over the top in that class.

2.Don't go over the top when shopping for food, we are only here for two days.
 

If a past action was extremely excessive（非常过分）and unnecessary（不必要的，无用的）, we add the word: way.

An example is: His use of force（使用暴力） was way over the top.
