“我没钱了”除了“I am broke”还能怎样优雅表达？

    作为一个吃五谷杂粮的凡夫俗子，我也知道也只喜欢money money money...也知道每到月底总要喊穷“I have no money, no money!”， 但是偶尔总要假装一下，那么如何优雅地表达“我没钱了”又不失仪态呢

    我们来看看最通俗的说法是“I have no money.”真的一点逼格都没有。

have no可以用短语run out 代替：

run out

v.用完；跑出去；耗尽；到期

动副型短语动词，作不及物动词，其主语通常是时间、金钱、食物等无生命名词。用于被动含义。

而它和run out of有什么区别呢？

run out of

v.用完；耗尽；从…跑出

短语动词，作及物动词用，后接宾语，主语只能是人。用于主动含义。

还可用short/short of代替：

short of

缺少；不远；差一点；除了…之外

①I'm short these days.

我这几天手头很紧，就是没钱。

除了run/short/low还可以用break的过去分词"broke"表示“没钱啦”的意思：
