商务英语学习：服务态度投诉

         客人投诉是每个服务企业经常遇到的一件事情，在商务英语中， 客人投诉的处理好坏也会直接影响到企业的声誉，今天我们就来学习一下客人投诉的一些英文表达。

值班经理: Good evening,sir. May I help? 

                晚上好,先生!有什么可以帮您的? 

客    人: I'd like to make a complaint about your restaurant service. The waiter was very rude. 

              我要投诉你们的餐厅服务.侍者态度很粗鲁.

值班经理: Please accept my apology on behalf of the hotel. I'll contact his manager right away. 

                我代表饭店向您致歉,请您接受.我会马上联系他的经理.

客   人: Yes,please do. 

             是的.

值班经理: He will look into the matter very soon. 

                他会马上查这件事儿的.

客   人: All right. 

             好的.

重点释疑：

make a complaint about sth'就是抱怨,投诉某事的意思.

I'd like to make a complaint about the noise. 我要就噪音问题提出投诉.

其他和complaint相关的搭配:

to file/lodge(= make)a complaint 提出控告

Portugal has lodged a complaint with the International Court of Justice. 葡萄牙向国际法院提出了申诉.

'on behalf of sb'或者'on sb's behalf’有三层意思.第一是"代表或代替某人", as therepresentative of somebody or instead of them.

On behalf of the department I would like to thank you all. 我谨代表全系感谢大家.

Mr Knight cannot be here, so his wife will accept the prize on his behalf. 奈特先生不能来,因此由他的夫人代他领奖.

第二个意思是"因为某人,为了某人", because of somebody; for somebody.

Don't worry on my behalf. 别为我担心.

最后一个意思是"为帮助某人", in order to help sb.

They campaigned on behalf of asylum seekers. 他们为政治难民发起运动.

Look into就是检查,调查(examine)的意思.

A working party has been set up to look into the problem. 已成立一个工作小组来调查这个问题.
