英语词汇学习：如何表达精疲力尽

夏日，一般都会是一个令人全身乏力的季节，那么你知道在英语中如何去表达累了吗？

1. Dead on one's feet

这个看上去像“死在自己脚上”的短语，也可以用来形容累到不行。

例：Ann is so tired. She's really dead on her feet.

安实在太累了，她已经精疲力竭了。

2. Worn out

Wear out有“穿坏”、“磨损”、“耗尽”的意思，如果是人被“耗尽”了，那说的是让人精疲力竭，相当于be tired out。

例：I'm worn out after a long day's work.

干了一天的活可把我累坏了。

3. Dog-tired

中文你会说“累成狗”，呵呵，歪果仁其实也这样说，表示精疲力尽，累得不行。

例：He usually got home at around seven o'clock, dog-tired after a long day in the office.

上了一天的班快要累成狗了，他一般7点钟左右才到家。

4. Run-down

看见这个词是不是感觉整个人都要瘫倒了？这里是形容身体支撑不住了，疲惫不堪了。

例：You look run-down.

你看上去很累。

5. Run out of steam

感觉身体被掏空，也是精力都耗尽了，没有力气了。

例：She'd been talking for two hours and was just starting to run out of steam.

她讲了两个小时了，已经开始觉得没力气了。
