英语学习|"天气变暖"用英语怎么说?

现在天气渐渐变暖，人们想表达这句话，

会说，“It’s becoming warmer.” 可谁知，

别人没准会和你开始讨论气候变暖，

没错，“It’s becoming warmer.” 就是“全球变暖”的意思。

become VS. get

become是“变得，变成”的意思，在 “It’s becoming warmer” 中会有 “经年累月一直在变暖” 的意思，容易让人误以为是在说全球暖化问题。

表示天气变冷或变暖，我们习惯用“get”！

It's getting warmer. Shall we go for a swim sometime？

天气渐渐变暖了，我们一起去游泳好吗？

weather VS. climate

I moved to this city for the better weather.

我搬到这座城市，是因为这里天气好。

I moved to this city for the better climate.

我搬到这座城市，是因为这里气候好。

注意：这里要说的是气候，要用climate，而weather是指天气，谁会因为一座城市某一天的天气好，就搬家呢？

blowing VS. influencing

Let's see how the wind is blowing.

让我们看看整个局势如何发展。

Let's see how the wind is influencing us.

让我们看看风势会造成什么影响。

How the wind is blowing 字面意思是“风如何吹”，而引申意表示“大势所趋”。

因此若这样展开话题，完全不是聊天气，气氛尤为凝重。
