As for me, I firmly consider that children shouldn’t be educated by their parents at home.

In the last decades parents were firmly convinced that, to send their children to kindergartens or nursery school will be an unhealthy or unfavorable influence on the growth of children. Many parents stayed at home to look after their children instead of returning to work earlier. However, this opinion is now being questioned by more and more experts, who pointed out that it is unhealthy for children to always stay with their parents at home.

Although parents would be able to devote much more time and energy to their children, it must be admitted that parents have less experience and knowledge about how to educate and supervise children, when compared with professional teachers working in kindergartens or nursery schools.

让学子难忘的舞台

Moreover, children who are sent to school will have more time to play and communicate with their peers. Consequently, it’s much easier for them to develop and cultivate their characters and interpersonal skills. Another side, the children who always stay at home may become more solitary and even suffer from certain mental illnesses. From the concern above, we may safely draw a conclusion that, although the parents’ desire to look after/educate children by themselves is understandable, its disadvantages far outweigh the advantages.

Parents should be encouraged to send their children to kindergartens or nursery schools. Which will bring about profound impact on children and family and even the society as a whole.
