        As to me, I prefer face-to-face contact rather than communicating on the internet, though cautiously more people are absorbed in communicating with others through some popular chatting software such as QQ, MSN and so forth for the sake of saving a lot of time taken by face-to-face contact. However, I believe there are many things mainly of which are emotions that can’t hardly transmitted through internet when people communicate sharing their real feeling only by sending messages and images. For instance, if a man falls in love with a woman, he must propose to her face-to-face and show how much he loves her by means of sending flowers and saying sweet words instead of sending her a message saying “Honey, I love you, will you marry me” which is probably considered not heart and soul.

 

Several reasons contribute to why face-to-face contact is much more beneficial than online chatting. First of all, we can make ourselves understood more easily with active facial expression or body language which can not be seen in the words on the computer screen. Actually, other conversationalists can feel what we are thinking or whether we are in a good mood or not when face-to-face talking so that they can have the same feeling with us and continue the conversation satisfying our mental needs, which is good for our friendship too.

        Second, can easily find more topics to chat about in that we are more likely to be in high excitement and concentration when facing lively person but not a screen with no emotion.

 

Third, if we want to chat with others face-to-face, we can choose a comfortable on romantic place, such as a café or an appealing park, instead of sitting before the computer and being busy playing piano on a keyboard, especially when we are developing love relationships.

    就我自己而言，我更偏向选择面对面的联系，而不是通过网络交流。尽管很多人都喜欢用QQ, MSN等等一些流行的方式来交谈，因此而节约不少时间，然而，我还是相信，一些情感的表达是不能通过网上或者发信息就能传达的。例如，如果一个男人和一个女人恋爱了，男人想向女人求婚，他必须面对面去表示他有多么爱她，他可以送花，说甜言蜜语，而不是发条短信：“亲爱的，我爱你，你会嫁给我吗？”如果是这样，那就表示没有诚意了。

 

有很多方面都说明面对面交谈会比通过网上交谈更有利一些。首先，我们可以更容易的理解面部表情和肢体语言所表达的含义，而这些是通过网络做不到的。事实上，与你交谈的人只有在通过面对面沟通中才能了解到交谈时你是否有一个好的精神状态，这样更有利于友谊的深入。

 

其次，面对面交谈的时候，我们更容易找到一个共同的话题，谈到兴致勃勃，注意力高度集中。然而，电脑屏幕是没有感情的。

 

第三，我们可以选择在一个舒适的环境下交谈，比如咖啡厅，公园，而不是在电脑面前用手指弹钢琴式的方式，尤其是发展恋爱关系的时候，千万不要。
