Introductions

Simon was brought up in a small, rather unremarkable town in Northern England called Chorley. After school, he joined the merchant navy and spent four years working as a Second Officer on oil tankers before eventually going to university as a mature student. It was after graduating from university in Liverpool that he decided to start teaching English abroad. So, although somewhat new to GLV, he is an experienced teacher and has been teaching adults for more than ten years now. He has lived and worked in many countries around the world, including South Korea, Latvia, Saudi Arabia and, of course, China.
