Introductions

Matt McCalla is a teacher from Knoxville, Tennessee in the United States. An enthusiastic traveler, Matt graduated high school, took $650 he had saved, and went to Europe, where he lived and worked around the continent for over two years. Upon his return to the U.S. he received his degree from Lambuth University and entered the business world. He built a career as a trainer where he spent 18 years coaching employees and managers for companies like AT&T and GC Services. The urge to experience new cultures never left him though, so he decided to take a chance and follow his dream to live in Asia. He came to China in August 2015 to obtain his TESOL Certification and spent the following year in Harbin teaching children, teens, and adults English. Teaching enthusiastic and energetic young students renewed Matt's passion for education, and he looks forward to helping young scholars at Seed reach their goals in English!
